In 2019, the city of Ithaca committed to an ambitious plan to address climate change: the Ithaca Green New Deal. I worked with members of the Climate Reality Project Finger Lakes Chapter to create a scorecard website to track the city’s progress.

UI design, development on Webflow, copy & content consultation
The scorecard is designed for the people of Ithaca. We wanted anyone, no matter how much they follow climate issues, to be able to easily engage with the content. The design is accessible, friendly, and optimistic, and local photography creates a connection to Ithaca as a place.
I worked with the scorecard team to develop a structure to present the complex information involved in the scoring the plan. The site allows users to engage at varying levels of depth, from a broad overview to a detailed look at each goal of the Ithaca Green New Deal.
I prototyped the site in Figma and worked closely with the scorecard team to ensure that the designs met the project needs. Then, I developed the site using Webflow. The site uses a content management system (CMS) that allows the scorecard team to easily update scoring over time.
